The Stroll is a Pewi that solved the problem nobody mentions in the reviews: the ride is fine, it is the half-mile home afterwards that defeats everyone. A long adjustable handle clips onto the back so an adult can push, a footrest gives the rider somewhere to park their legs once they have run out of steam, and larger wheels make the whole thing roll properly on pavement rather than scrabbling along.

When the child wants control back, the handle comes off and it is a walking ride-on again — same seat, same loop handle, same four-wheel stability as the rest of the family. That reversibility is the entire point. It is a stroller substitute on the way out and a toy on the way back, and it does not need to be two separate objects in a hallway.

Blue is the original finish and the slightly more durable-looking of the two against pavement gray.

Who it suits

Nine months to three years, for families who walk further than the end of the drive.

One thing to know

It is not a pushchair and should not be treated as one — there is no harness, no recline and no brake.

Happiness on wheels

“Bought this for my 3 y/o grandson. He LOVES it!! He has a sensory disorder and doesn’t like to Touch Bar handles, but he loves circles. So he holds on with no problem. He doesn’t have to steer because the wheels do the steering. They are very large wheels that move very easily. Very impressed with this ride. I just wish it had an adjustable seat.”

Love this scooter!

“This is well made, has nice wheels super smoothe ride, the welding is well done, I bought the blue one, the color is very nice, bright metalic. My grandson is still small but with help he really enjoys this toy!”

Best toddler bike ever!

“Very sturdy so baby can pull up on it when they first start walking. Millions of times better than a tricycle that tips over easily. Baby loves it and has even learned to get on and off of it on his own. Highly recommend!”
